Obituary for James Charles Chlupac Sr.

James Charles Chlupac Sr., 71, of Midland, died Friday afternoon, June 1, 2018 at the MidMichigan Medical Center. He was born November 8, 1946 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, son of the late George F. and Gertrude P. (Wanner) Chlupac. James grew up in Wisconsin and loved his home state. He was a 1965 graduate of Pius XI Catholic High School in Milwaukee and proudly served his country in the Army reserves for many years. James married his wife of forty-eight years, the former Florence “Flint” Brockway, in Milwaukee. She survives him. He was employed in the print industry his entire life, having worked at Pendell Printing in Midland until his retirement in 2008. James enjoyed watching sports, and had a great passion for the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and Wisconsin Badgers. He loved his family and showed it in many different ways.

In addition to his wife Florence, he is survived by his children, Susan Grabinski, Jennifer (Albert) Knapp, Anna Rutledge, and Jamie (Sarah) Chlupac; ten grandchildren; and his sister Cindy Ivy.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial visitation period to honor his life will take place on Saturday June 30, 2018 from 1 p.m. -5 p.m at the Alma Masonic Lodge, 301 N. State Street in Alma.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider James’ family. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Directors
