Obituary for Muriel Yvonne Wint

The angels took Muriel Yvonne (Killian) Wint home on March 10th, 2018. She was a special woman who is loved, cherished and will be deeply missed. We will especially miss her sweet smile, laughter, and hugs.

Muriel's story began on October 6, 1924, the eldest daughter to Lavon and Ruth Killian. She grew up in Beaverton and attended Beaverton schools.

She met Ken Wint and they were married on February 17, 1943. They resided in Hope for many years and later moved to Elk Lake. They had 3 children, Dana Bis(Jim) of Midland, Margie Thornton (Bob) of Bay City and Alan Wint (Victoria) of
Kawkawlin. They were blessed with 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She loved to crochet anything from beautiful afghans to stuffed animals. She was witty and loved to write poems, she even won some writing contests. She made the best cinnamon rolls and was an Atari legend. She and Ken spent time in their motorhome camping in Simmons Woods and she loved riding motorcycles with Ken.

Her grandchildren cherish the times that Grandma "grew" lollipops in her flower garden. Her granddaughters loved to go to craft shows with Grandma to help her sell her ceramics and Grandpa's wood art. Easter to Grandma was like her
Christmas. She hid plastic eggs outside and wrote riddles hidden in the eggs that would give clues of where to find the hidden Easter gifts. She told the grandchildren that they were going to hunt for Easter eggs until she had great-
grandchildren to take over for them.

In her later years she loved puzzles, rummage sales, watching the different kinds of birds enjoying her bird feeder, she loved going for rides with Julia and telling about when her and Ken got married under the big tree at the church, she loved going to appointments with Dana because she knew that she would take her to get ice cream afterward, she loved going for rides with Margie and Bob and making big dinners for family on Sundays, and Christmas songs.

The family members who are waiting for her in heaven are her loving parents, Lavon and Ruth Killian, her husband, Kenneth Wint, her sister, Delores Turow and an infant Great-granddaughter.

Special thanks to Julia Guy, who has loved Muriel for the last two years and brought joy and laughter to her life. You are a gift and blessing to our family.
