Obituary for Jackie Albert (Wilhelm)

Order Flowers

Jackie Albert (Wilhelm) was born July 12, 1963 and passed away on October 8, 2018 surrounded by her family and close friends. There was no one like Jackie in the world. She lived a life with purpose; sharing her generous and contagious spirit with everyone she met. Jackie loved everyone. She had a Superpower, a natural skill of bringing out the best in others. She recently received a Certificate of Appreciation award from work acknowledging her attributes. It simply read, “We build too many walls and not enough bridges.” Jackie taught us to love and live a little deeper. Her resilient and caring spirit never ceased to amaze and will forever be with us. Jackie received her schooling at Ashman School, graduating in 1989. She enjoyed her job placements through the Arnold Center and the relationships she developed along the way. In her younger years she enjoyed horseback riding through Tall in the Saddle with her sister, April. Jackie was active and well known in the community and found joy socializing with others through 4-H, Sunday school and Awana and attending sporting events and concerts with family and friends. Jackie had an unmatched love of music; it inspired her to dance in the moment and quite possibly join the band with singing and pretend playing. She enjoyed bowling, singing, going out to eat, taking art classes with her Mom and sister April and traveling to Oklahoma, Colorado and Chicago with family and friends. For your continuous care and support of Jackie and her family over the years, a special thanks to Dr. Aloff, Dr. Danso, Dr. Genovese, staff at the Arnold Center, Dial-A-Ride and Community Mental Health and most recently Mid-Michigan Medical Center. Jackie is preceded in death by brothers Rudy Pauls, Gary Pauls, Timothy Wilhelm and sister April Wilhelm.

She is survived by her parents, Ray and Betty Wilhelm; siblings, Pam Gingrich, Mike (Tonya) Pauls, Tammy Pauls, Julie King, Amy Ostyn, and Jen (Steve) Rapanos, along with many nieces and nephews who deeply loved her, and close friends Robin Hammond and Ronna Lamblin and their families.

Funeral services for Jackie will take place 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, at the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Chapel, 1200 West Wheeler Street. Pastor Mark Dickerson Jr. of Calvary Baptist Church will officiate. Jackie’s family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 5-8 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until time of the service. Private committal will take place in the Midland Cemetery. Those wishing to express their condolences may consider a donation in Jackie’s name to the Arnold Center or Calvary Baptist Sunday School Program.
