Obituary for Tim H. Kaul

By Faith, Hope and Love, Tim H. Kaul, 68, of Reese, today lives with Jesus in the mansion that God prepared for him and all believers in Heaven. He was born May 13, 1950 in Saginaw to Luella (Halmann) Kaul-Markel of Saginaw and the late Albert Kaul who predeceased him in 1962. Tim was baptized in June of 1950 so that he may live with Christ forever. He died Friday afternoon, May 3, 2019 at his home, surrounded by all his family, from health complications and cancer. He was a 1968 graduate of Frankenmuth High School and in 1972 received his BS degree from Central Michigan University and his MBA degree in 1979. He married the former Carleen Bickel on September 8, 1973 in Frankentrost. She survives him. Tim was employed in the grocery business for ten years and taught at Buena Vista High School for thirty-two years. He was a lifelong member of the BVEA, the MEA, and the NEA. After his retirement, he worked for ten years at both Abele’s Greenhouse in Saginaw and Bronner’s CHRISTmas Wonderland in Frankenmuth. Tim enjoyed gardening, yard work, woodworking, camping, any outside activities, and playing euchre and board games with his family. He loved nature, especially sunrises, sunsets, and full moons. He was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Reese where he served on various boards and committees. His favorite saying was “Faith, Hope, and Love; and the greatest of these is Love”

Surviving besides his wife Carleen and mother Luella, is his son, Kyle of Grand Rapids; his daughter, Katrina of Reese and three grandchildren; Jordan, Gavin and Dominick, who he loved doing projects with. Two brothers; Dennis (Gladys) Kaul, Dalton (Marlene) Kaul, and predeceased by brother Karl (Nancy) Kaul. One sister; Deanna Frank (Eugene “Smokey”). Deanna whom he called the most caring, loving and passionate sister that anyone could wish for in life. Tim is also survived by his mother-in-law; Lillian Bickel of Frankenmuth; sisters-in-law; Eunice (John) Smith of Northville; and Janine (Chuck) Lewis of Loveland, Kansas; and brother-in-law; James (Shelly) Bickel of Frankenmuth. Also surviving him are many God children, nieces and nephews.
